Working Closely With Clients – Why Is So Imporant?

The biggest reason behind giving out my cell phone number to clients is trust. This relationship of an attorney and a client will never work if there’s not trust between us. They have to trust that I can do the job and that my advice is sound because I don’t make the final decisions on my case. It’s the client that makes those decisions. And, if they’re not gonna trust any of my advice, that makes it really difficult to represent somebody. Under that same token, if I don’t trust the client, it’s difficult to advocate for them if we can’t trust what they’re saying or trust what they’re doing. And so that goes hand in hand with the cell phone thing. I trust that my clients can get ahold of me when they need to, and they, in turn, will trust me that I’ll give them the advice they need, and together we can work towards a successful resolution.
